How to call an ambulance

  1. Call 119 and say "English, please" (or the language you want), and an interpreter will be connected. Do not hang up — stay on the line.
  2. If you cannot get through, call 1330 and press the SOS button. The operator will interpret and contact 119 for you.
  3. Read out the address below exactly as written. The ambulance comes to the front of the alley.
  4. Tell them the symptoms, age, whether the person is conscious, and any medication being taken. Bring your passport and travel insurance documents.
